Grace of Giving

2 Corinthians 8:7 - "But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us —see that you also excel in this grace of giving." You may have heard the saying: 'You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving.' Giving is a natural expression of grace. Jesus said, "Freely you have received, freely give." Because we have been recipients of God's grace, we must become dispensers of grace. Sometimes we look at ourselves and think we have nothing to give. On the contrary, we have so much to give. There is much more to giving than just money and material things. Give yourself, your time, your service, your abilities, your gifts, your talents, as well as things. Give forgiveness, words of encouragement, mercy, and hope. Excel in the grace of giving. Grace and Peace.
