Enoch + Faith

Hebrews 11:5 (NIV) - "By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God." Genesis 5:24 (NIV) - "Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away." I think that it is amazing that Enoch had a real faith life and walked with God without there being churches, pastors, or even a Bible. He connected with God by faith and related to Him without seeing Him. The word 'walked' in Genesis means that he was in harmony or agreement with God, walked in step with Him. He was able by faith to perceive what God was looking for and lived to please Him. Through his faith he was able to escape death. His faith walk is an example of those of us who now trust God daily and seek to please Him. We too, have the hope of being translated to be with the Lord forever. Have faith and walk with God.
