Moses + Faith - Pt. 1

Now we consider the faith life of Moses. Hebrews 11:23,24 - "By faith Moses' parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king's edict. By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter." Moses' destiny begins with the faith of his parents in their protecting him from being killed with the male babies that Pharaoh was destroying. Through God's providence he was rescued and adopted by Pharaoh's daughter but raised by his birth mother. As she raised him she instilled in him the Hebrew faith. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. This was true of Moses for when he grew up he chose to identify with his people and eventually became their leader and God used him to deliver His people. How important it is to impart faith to children. I remember my parents teaching me to memorize verses of Scripture as soon as I learned to talk. I still have not forgotten them. Parents, take time to share faith with your children. More on Moses later.
