The Goal Of Faith

Our faith will take us to our predetermined destination. We all want to be saved. Salvation in Scripture means to be whole, complete, protected, secure. 1 Peter 1:8,9 (NIV) reads - "You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls." The same passage in the (MSG) - "You never saw him, yet you love him. You still don't see him, yet you trust him—with laughter and singing. Because you kept on believing, you'll get what you're looking forward to: total salvation." It's not based on seeing, but rather on trusting and continuing to believe that gets us what we desire - total salvation. Faith, or trust is the most important factor in our relationship with God, and our reward from Him for that trust is salvation! We are saved by grace, through faith. Faith is our access key to God and all the good things He has for us.
