Our lifestyle and conduct observed by those around us can be the cause of directing praise to our Heavenly Father. Consider Jesus' words in Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV) - "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven." So today and everyday, let your light shine bright! People are watching us, from our family, to our co-workers, friends, acquaintances, and even strangers. Are we representing our Father well? In loving others, being kind, doing good deeds, giving encouraging and uplifting words? When people notice positive, constructive behavior in our lives and compliment or praise us - that praise is to be directed to our Heavenly Father. Let your light shine and represent Him well.
