In 2 Chronicles chapter 20, a story is told of a battle that is won by giving praise to God. Facing a vast army coming against him, Jehoshaphat consults the Lord and through the Spirit of the Lord and prophetic declaration is told that the battle is not his but the Lord's. The strategy he is given could seem ridiculous, however he obeys and acts by faith. Verses 21,22 (NIV) says: After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever." As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. God fights the battle and victory is obtained as they sing and praise the Lord. Are you facing an obstacle or battle that is bigger than what you are equipped to handle? Why not try praising the Lord and let Him fight the battle and defeat the enemy and triumph over the enemy. Praise is an awesome warfare tactic. Read the story in 2 Chronicles 20:1-30.
