Midnight Praise

It's easy to praise when everything is going well, the sun is shining, no serious problems or worries, job is secure, bills are paid, enough money, car's running, friends are near, every one's healthy, - praise the Lord! But what happens to your praise when adversity arises and trouble takes over? Acts 16 shows two brothers in such a trying situation who in spite of the contrary circumstances they were experiencing, busted out with some midnight praise! Verse 25 (CEV) says - "About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing praises to God, while the other prisoners listened." Our boys had been unjustly arrested, falsely charged, badly beaten, and thrown into prison. Recipe for a "feel sorry for me" pity party. "Ouch, I'm hurting, how about you?" But instead, they prayed and praised! God heard as well as the prisoners around them...and well, you know the rest of the story... (If not, read Acts, chapter 16). What is your midnight situation? Try prayer and praise and see what happens.
