Morning is a good time to praise God and evening is also a good time to praise Him. 1 Chronicles 23:30 (NIV) - "They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD. They were to do the same in the evening..." I think that praise is a great way to start the day. When we get up, let our first thoughts and words be about God, His goodness, and His love. "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name." Commit your heart and day to Him. "From the rising of the sun to the setting of the same, may His name be praised." As kids, we used to sing the praise chorus: Praise him in the morning, Praise him in the noontime, Praise him when the sun goes down. At the end of the day, before we go to bed, let us again reflect on Him. Were you blessed throughout the day with His provision and protection. Praise Him! Did you receive the gifts of His love? Acknowledge Him as the source with praise. For who He is and what He has done, praise Him in the morning and again in the evening.
