Praise Word # 5 - 'Yadah'

The fifth Hebrew word for praise is Yadah. An example of the use of this word is in Psalm 106:1 (NIV) - "Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever." Yadah means: Hands raised and moving in an in and out manner. It also means confessing (or agreement) and thanksgiving. This kind of praise acknowledges God's attributes such as His goodness, mercy, lovingkindness, faithfulness, and verbally and physically expresses gratefulness. The uplifted and waving of hands communicate joyful thanksgiving. Are you grateful today for God always being with you and for you? Give thanks and praise Him!
