Romans 12:16a (NIV) - "Live in harmony with one another." Being a musician, I have an appreciation for harmony. I definitely appreciate harmony as opposed to discord. The whole verse in the Amplified Bible reads this way: "Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits." I think that's pretty clear. The dictionary defines harmony as: agreement, accord, pleasing arrangement, congruity, concord, unity, peace and friendship. Even though each of us is different, it is great when we are able to adapt and come into harmonious relationship and agreement. This makes our lives peaceful and pleasant. Let us take this word to heart and strive to live in harmony one with another.
