Hope And The Word

One of the important functions of the written Word of God is to instruct us and inspire hope in us. As we are introduced to men and women in the Bible who faced obstacles and seemingly insurmountable odds yet held on to hope and prevailed, we are encouraged to persevere. Romans 15:4 (NIV) - "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." The stories of the struggles of people who are no different than us - running their races, fighting their fights, holding on to faith and trust, never giving up gives us hope and therefore strength to continue our journey. If the endured - so can we! Open up the Word and be inspired by these stories. The Word will build up your hope!
