Hope And A Future

God has great promises and plans for us. We are not merely wandering aimlessly through life - wondering where we will end up - we have a predetermined destiny. One of my favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." The Message puts the same verse this way: "I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." It is good to know that God has plans, good plans, and that He knows. Those plans may include difficult times and pain, but, ultimately they are for our prosperity and well being. We must trust God's plan for us and not look back, but look forward with hope to the future that He has for us. Be comforted, strengthened, and encouraged by this promise from the Lord. We have a favorable future to look forward to.
